Survivor Ambassador
Programme
"Use your journey to light the way for others. Become a beacon of hope and strength in our community."
What is a Survivor Ambassador?
A Survivor Ambassador is someone who has navigated their own journey of healing and is ready to offer peer guidance to others who are just beginning. This is not a counseling role, but one of mentorship, empathy, and shared strength.
Ambassadors are a living testament to the possibility of a life beyond abuse. They provide a listening ear, share insights from their own experience, and help others feel less alone on their path to recovery.
The Role of an Ambassador
"Offer peer support in one-on-one or group chat settings, providing a safe space for others to be heard."
"Share your story (in a safe, managed way) to inspire hope and show that recovery is possible."
"Provide guidance on navigating resources and systems based on your own lived experience."
"Act as a positive role model for healing and resilience, demonstrating the power of reclaiming one's life."
